John
Greene spent
10 years as
a collegiate
coach
and 5 years
at the high school
level. During
his tenure as
a college coach,
his primary
responsibilities
included coordinating
all recruiting
efforts and
post
instruction.
John spent
one year at Angelo
State University
in San Angelo,
Texas as the Interim
Head
Coach and Assistant
Coach for the Men’s
Basketball Program.
Before
that he was the
top assistant at
CSU-Pueblo for four
seasons. While with
the ThunderWolves
he also was an administrator
in the athletic
department. Prior
to his work at CSU-Pueblo
he served two seasons
as the top assistant
at Augustana (SD)
College. In addition
to his on-court
duties for the Vikings,
Greene was the program's
recruiting coordinator
and an instructor
in the Exercise
Science department.
Before
venturing to Augustana,
Greene familiarized
himself with the
Rocky Mountain Athletic
Conference during
a one-year stint
as an assistant
at Colorado Christian.
At
Madison (Wisc.)
Area Technical College,
Greene acquired
head coaching experience.
In his first season,
MATC went 18-13
and finished tenth
in the nation in
field goal percentage
(45.9%) and fifth
in free throw percentage
(70.9%). Three of
his players earned
a spots on the Wisconsin
Junior College All-State
team, and one was
named to the National
Junior College Athletic
Association All-American
team.
Greene
earned his Bachelor
of Science in Education
from the University
of Wisconsin in
1994. He received
his master's degree
in Sports Management
from St. Cloud (Minn.)
State University
in 1999, where he
was also a graduate
assistant for the
Huskies' basketball
team.
John
coordinates and
performs all of
the live recruiting
seminars for MentorConcepts.
John,
a native of Three
Lakes, Wisconsin,
is married to Cara,
and they one daughter
named Madison.
Craig
Ross enjoyed
an award
filled playing
career at both the Minnesota high school he attended,
and the University
of Minnesota-Morris.
Upon graduation
in 1989, he
took a position
as the assistant coach for his alma mater.
His
responsibilities
included
recruiting,
scouting
and the direction
of the junior
varsity program.
A year later, Craig became
the head
girls coach
at Ilwaco
High School in Ilwaco, WA. But the call of collegiate
coaching
was too strong,
so he returned to NCAA Division II Basketball
the following
season. As an assistant men's basketball
coach at
Metro State University in
Denver, CO,
Craig was
responsible
for coordinating all recruiting efforts.
During his
tenure with
the Roadrunners,
they enjoyed
two conference
championships.
The 1994-95 season
found Craig moving
to cross-town
rival, Colorado
Christian University,
where he became
the recruiting
coordinator.
He became the
head coach for
the CCU Cougars the following year.
After
the 1996-97
campaign,
Craig left
the collegiate
arena to
begin his
career in
leadership
and team development.
He wrote
and published, How to
Get a College
Basketball
Scholarship,
which
quickly sold
out its
first
printing.
Currently,
he is the
Director of Pathways to Leadership, an organization
that serves
organizations around the world in developing
their leaders
and creating
more effective
work cultures.
He reaches thousands of people each year.
Craig,
and his daughter,
reside
in Littleton, CO.
